New Theme!! - Advance Wars Redux!

New theme!

THE THEME.
In the spirit of Advance Wars, conceptualize and design a character and a vehicle for him/her. Feel free to explore any and all kinds of design styles or influences. Also, try not to limit your imagination; your vehicle can be anything from a car, to a bicycle, or an animal mount, or even a freakin gigantous battleship! Also, be aware that this project is probably going to be an ongoing one, so chances are you might be designing more characters and vehicles in the future. So try to think in a bigger scale, visualize an army rather than just one soldier, then develop your designs accordingly.

WHAT TO DO.
Conceptualize and design a character of any gender, race and background, and then an accompanying vehicle or mount for this character. If possible, try to produce a nice piece of artwork showcasing your design.

WHY SHOULD I TAKE PART?
It's a good chance to start pushing yourself to really do some design work that can be a potential portfolio piece.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER?
It keeps on going. Occasionally, new changes will be implemented, hopefully keeping the theme fresh. All the concept work and final pieces could even be compiled into one big conceptual project, and perhaps made into a concept book, which would be a nice accompaniment to any portfolio.

CAN I TAKE PART?
Its an open theme, anyone can take part. But to post here you need an invitation to this blog. Contact Wei Kit if you need so.

DEADLINE?
Hell no. But please try not to slack off. If you do, shame on you, especially if everyone else is working hard and producing quality work. But also try not to stress over this theme too much. If you ever find yourself having any sort of difficulty, fell free to post up your work and ask nicely for some comments and critique, and hopefully, you might get some good advice to help you out.

Remember, the main idea in all of this is to help those who are having difficulty doing work, and also to have fun along the way.

Hope to see your awesome designs soon!
