tats painting finished around 1hour30mins...i paint gao gao...wasting the paint..

Recently working on

Here's a little update on my progress with the character design i did previously, still work in progress. i was thinking of compositing it into a scene. the vehicle is not yet touched yet. gonna do it in this few days or maybe around nxt week after i finish editing this.

I know i know, you guys have probably seen this pic a couple of times, but its finally done... not very happy with the weapon though...

any words of advice on painting would be nice, digital painting isn't one of my better traits... i kinda suck at it as a matter of fact... but i've come to realise i can't just keep my drawings in shades of gray... so yea, gonna go do more and hopefully get better... anyone has got any links to tuts or websites that teaches coloring digitally?? i can sure use some color theory lessons =P

Please keep the posts coming, i'm throwing up another painting soon... but still figuring how to paint the face so it doesn't look like manga...... ( well, i just got this feeling it will turn out looking flat ) but nvm.... keep trying...

[Filler] Your most anticipated game of the second half of 2008?

Since no one is bothering to post work (me included), i've decided to put up random crap to fill the void.

I've got one question.

What is your most anticipated game of the second half of 2008?


That is one hard question... but personally, i would say Tom Clancy's Endwar. It's like a dream game for me. I play almost any and every genre of game, but strategy games occupy a special place in my heart. I guess it's the rush of being able to watch your tactics unfold on a virtual battlefield, like a well coordinated orchestra. It's like magic to me really. Endwar takes all that, and throws in what might be the coolest (and probably the most sensible) feature ever introduced into a strategy game, Voice command. Seriously, a game where you command battalions of infantry and tanks, supported by artillery, gunships, air strikes, and WMDs, all with your voice... God may have just answered my prayers.

Cosfest 08

Was there on both days, but Sunday's better.

I was having lunch with Wilson, after some phototaking. We were talking about having Ironman in the event, and it really appeared out when we went back to the venue! LOL!

This must be the best Haruhi cosplayer seen in Singapore, quite a spotlight yesterday.

Gundam Exia. Very detailed indeed.

Not sure which character she was cosplaying... but the costume looked great on her!

Erm, if you are wondering why a guy was always behind her, it was because that the prop was too heavy for her lol. Should have done a QC?

My 20cent

Well, you all know my training program, its quite hard to put up anything on weekdays, i can only accumulate and throw everything up on weekends when i come back home.

This is the last weekend i'm going to be in Singapore for july, Going to taiwan this coming friday =) looking forward to all the shagness and chiongshuaing... weee..... and 5 days straight back to back missions without sleep... well, Aaron joshua has done it, so i shouldn't be complaining or whining about it... Just looking forward to the RnR in Taiwan after all the training are over... =O

Well... heres a WIP of my Odin, =) relatively quite happy with it, honestly speaking, i'm a noob when it comes to painting, so i'm quite happy with whats coming out taking that this is my third or forth piece of digital painted work... advices and critics are welcomed...

And this is a quick sketch of a Warcraft Warrior class... got time then start painting in the other parts of him... still very raw but i kinda like the feel of it so far...

Still very raw, some shades are not painted in yet so looks damn flat...

Now this one is WAY old. Back when i was a coloring n00b, practiced reproducing with references. Might probably finish it just for the sake of it (kinda like how it's turning out actually.)




















Ah, Hellsing. One of the best manga around, imho. This one also goes way back, started this during my FYPJ if i remember correctly.















This one is quite new actually, compared to the rest i've put up. More of a conceptual painting than a full blown piece, but kinda like how it's turning out. Gonna experiment more.

That's it. Add all this to the concepts I've been working on, plus the theme, and there i have a shitload of work. God knows if i even finish half of these.


Oh, and i just felt that these needed to go up.

To date, this is probably the one piece of digital work i did which i like the most. xD Never knew i could produce something this... cute.
